Job Description / Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all maintenance operations, including building, hotel equipment, grounds, and physical plant.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities prioritize safety, security, and asset protection.
  • Support in managing budget, capital expenditure projects, preventive maintenance, and energy conservation.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.

Support management of physical plant operations including:

  • Equipment, refrigeration, plumbing, water pumps, air conditioning, and electrical systems.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with facility regulations and safety standards.
  • Monitor and recommend best practices for energy conservation and efficient operations.
  • Assist in preparing specifications and service contracts to support building maintenance needs.
  • Distribute and monitor preventive maintenance and repair work orders to ensure timely completion.
  • Support maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public spaces, and restaurant equipment.
  • Assist in developing and executing long-term plans for preventive maintenance and asset protection.
  • Coordinate renovation or construction projects; liaise with contractors to ensure on-time and within-budget completion.
  • Conduct monthly property inspections to ensure excellent building and ground conditions.
  • Inspect guestrooms and common areas to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Evaluate the physical condition of facilities and determine required maintenance or improvements.
  • Recommend or arrange repair work, painting, renovations, and equipment replacement.
  • Select, purchase, and manage equipment, supplies, and furnishings.
  • Maintain inventory of parts and equipment.
  • Ensure property standards are consistently met.
  • Maintain building and equipment licenses and certifications.
  • Ensure all life safety systems (firefighting, sprinkler, and alarm systems) are operational.
  • Demonstrate leadership in guest hospitality and maintain a positive service environment.
  • Establish clear guidelines and expectations for maintenance staff.
  • Work closely with property leadership to implement corrective actions and improve guest satisfaction.
