Responsibilities

• Carry out sewing, mending, and alterations of staff uniforms, guest clothing, and hotel linen.
• Maintain proper inventory of uniforms and ensure timely repairs to meet operational needs.
• Assist in fitting staff uniforms and making adjustments as required.
• Ensure all tailoring work is done neatly, accurately, and on schedule.
• Handle and operate sewing machines and other tailoring equipment safely and effectively.
• Work closely with the Laundry team to support smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the sewing/tailoring area.
• Uphold Shangri-La standards of service and quality at all times.

Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience in tailoring/sewing, preferably in hospitality.
• Skilled in handling sewing machines, cutting, and tailoring.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce neat, quality work.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests.
• Team player with a positive attitude and service-oriented mindset.
