The main role of a subtitle editor is proofreads/edits subtitle file based on client's requirement and guidelines. Editors are required to provide file that is qualified for delivery and on time. Editors are also required to evaluate freelancers' performance and provide feedback when necessary.

Responsibilities: -

  • Editing and proofreading Bahasa Malaysia translations, subtitles, and scripts to ensure linguistic and technical accuracy.
  • Providing constructive feedback to freelance translators to maintain and improve overall quality.
  • Ensuring high-quality output that meets language, grammar, and stylistic standards.
  • Working efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.

Skills & Experience required:-

  • Must possess at least Bachelor Linguistics/Languages or equivalent
  • Required language (s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Korean (plus)
  • Applicants must possess extensive knowledge on English and Bahasa Malaysia grammar and able to speak and write English and Bahasa Malaysia fluently.
  • Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling, punctuation and other linguistic related errors.
  • Able to work with different stakeholders
  • Excellent Attention to details and organization skills
