About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated finance professional to take on a pivotal role within our accounting function. This position is responsible for the integrity of the full financial cycle, from transaction processing to strategic reporting, within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong foundation in manufacturing cost principles and a commitment to excellence.

We are considering candidates at two levels, based on experience:

  • Finance Executive: 2-3 years of relevant manufacturing industry experience.
  • Senior Finance Executive: 5-8 years of relevant manufacturing industry experience, with demonstrated leadership and deeper technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-Set Accounting: Manage the complete accounting cycle, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger, and Inventory accounting.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), accompanied by insightful analysis and commentary.
  • Cost & Inventory Management: Oversee all costing and inventory operations. Conduct rigorous cost analysis, prepare inventory reports, and lead periodic stock counts to ensure accuracy and optimal control.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the key point of contact for external parties, including auditors, tax agents, and bankers. Professionally manage communications with clients and vendors.
  • Cash Flow & Credit Control: Perform regular bank reconciliations and proactively manage customer collections to minimize overdue payments and improve working capital.
  • System Implementation: Play a key role in the ongoing implementation and optimization of our ERP system to enhance financial processes.
  • Compliance & Projects: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, practices, and regulations. Undertake special projects and ad-hoc tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Experience:

  • Finance Executive: 2-3 years of experience, preferably within a manufacturing setting.

  • Senior Finance Executive: 5-8 years of progressive experience within the manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and hands-on experience with ERP systems. Experience with ERP implementation is a significant advantage.
  • Professional Expertise: Solid understanding of accounting standards, tax regulations, and cost accounting principles. A background in audit is highly desirable.

  • Language: Full professional proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, and English is mandatory. Proficiency in Mandarin is required to liaise effectively with our Mandarin-speaking clients.
