Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement inventory control policies to optimize stock levels, turnover, and space utilization and to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  2. Analyze usage trend, to minimize excess and obsolete stock.
  3. Forecast inventory needs based on historical trends and operational demand.
  4. Oversee periodic stock counts, reconciliations, and ensure inventory accuracy at all times.
  5. Work with operation and procurement teams to forecast part requirements based on operational needs.
  6. Analyse stock aging, obsolescence, and demand trends to minimize holding costs.
  7. Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers for best pricing, credit terms, and timely delivery.
  8. Monitor vendor performance and take corrective action for any non-compliance or substandard deliveries.
  9. Establish KPIs for suppliers and logistics partners. Set individual KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and identify training needs for continuous improvement.
  10. Set up and maintain effective stock movement processes, SOPs, and escalation protocols.
  11. Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements related to parts management and inventory.
  12. Lead, train, and evaluate the parts team to ensure operational excellence and staff development.
  13. Prepare and present monthly reports on inventory levels, lead times, order fulfillment, and cost savings.
  14. Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and implement appropriate solutions.
  15. Support continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in automotive engineering /management/ business management from recognized Higher Learning Institution or equivalent.
  • Five (5) year relevant working experience.
  • Well organized and good interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented and meticulous, good critical thinking, effective decision making and problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in Bahasa Melayu and English.
  • Versatile, adaptive and possess good leadership qualities.
  • Conversant in MS Office applications.
