Paid Dealer's Representative

About the Role

We are seeking a driven Paid Dealer's Representative to join our Retail Equities Broking team. In this role, you will be responsible for the dealing and execution of trades for both local and foreign retail equities, while actively engaging in sales and marketing activities to grow our client base. You will play a key role in managing client portfolios, providing market updates, and maintaining strong client relationships. This position also requires promoting relevant banking products, supporting branch-led marketing initiatives, and ensuring all trading and client-related activities comply with regulatory requirements.

What you will be doing

• Execute trades for local and foreign retail equities in an accurate and timely manner

• Conduct sales and marketing activities to acquire new clients and expand the retail equities client base

• Manage clients' portfolios by providing market insights, updates, and maintaining strong relationships

• Promote and cross-sell the Bank's related products to clients

• Participate in marketing and promotional activities organized by branch management and ensure smooth execution of events

• Review clients' credit limits by assessing collateral, financial standing, and past track records to minimize contra losses and enhance team-level risk management

• Perform due diligence on clients by understanding their investment objectives, financial background, and source of funds in compliance with requirements set by Securities Commission, Bursa Malaysia, Bank Negara Malaysia, and other governing bodies

• Strong interest in equities trading, retail broking, and the capital market landscape

• Good planning, organizational, and client management skills

• Analytical, diligent, and proactive in supporting client needs and business development

• Ability to communicate market insights effectively and maintain strong client relationships

• Familiarity with capital markets rules, trading regulations, and compliance standards
