Job Responsibilities

1. Strategic Development

  • Design and implement comprehensive strategic plans for Community Banking Division.
  • Assess market trends, competitive landscape and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Translate the Bank's corporate strategy into actionable objectives for the retail segment.

2. Market and Data Analysis

  • Conduct detailed analyses of market conditions, customer behaviours and competitor strategies.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop financial models and forecasts to evaluate the impact of proposed strategies.

3. Performance Monitoring

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of strategic projects, providing recommendations for course corrections as needed.
  • Prepare and present strategic updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product, operations, marketing and finance teams to ensure cohesive execution of strategic plans.
  • Act as a liaison between departments to facilitate alignment and eliminate silos.
  • Drive strategic discussions and workshops across teams to foster innovation and collaboration.

 

 5. Project Management

  • Oversee strategic projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with external consultants or partners, if necessary, to support strategic initiatives.

6. Regulatory and Industry Awareness

  • Stay informed about regulatory developments and their implications for the retail banking sector.
  • Ensure that strategic plans align with compliance requirements and industry standards.

  

7. Leadership and Influence

  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead and mentor team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Influence stakeholders to gain buy-in for strategic priorities and initiatives.

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
