Senior Designer / Junior Art Director

Superminted is seeking a forward-thinking Senior Designer / Junior Art Director to drive high-quality creative execution across diverse projects. This role is for a seasoned design professional who can execute standout creative work and also support teammates with design input when needed. As a key contributor to the agency's creative vision, you'll ensure our work meets client objectives with strong creative craft.

The Role

As a Senior Designer / Junior Art Director, you will bridge strategic thinking with creative execution, taking creative responsibility for assigned projects — from early concepting through rollouts and final delivery. This is a hybrid role: you'll be hands-on in design while stepping into junior AD responsibilities such as shaping visual direction under the Design Director's guidance, mentoring designers, and elevating creative standards across the team. You'll work directly with clients when required, internal teams, and the Design Director to drive impactful campaigns that tell compelling brand stories.

What You'll Do

• Develop strong creative concepts, campaigns, and designs for branding, marketing, and digital platforms (digital-first, with occasional print/OOH as needed).
• Manage your own workflow from ideation to execution, ensuring work aligns with client objectives, brand guidelines, and platform requirements.
• Translate strategic briefs into visually compelling solutions in partnership with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Execute campaign rollouts and adaptations across formats (social, web, decks, event/OOH where relevant), maintaining consistency and craft.
• Own final artwork quality control and release: ensuring files are production/platform-ready, correctly spec'd, named, versioned, and error-free.
• Flag production risks early and advise on feasibility, timelines, and format constraints.
• Provide constructive design feedback to junior and midweight teammates when appropriate through clear direction and constructive feedback.
• Present creative ideas to clients when required, articulating strategic rationale behind design decisions.
• Stay ahead of design trends, tools, and technologies, bringing fresh thinking into the agency's creative approach.
• Balance hands-on design with supportive team contribution while managing multiple projects and priorities with calm, structured execution.

What You'll Bring

• Experience: 5–8 years of professional design experience with a proven track record across branding and digital-led campaigns. Agency experience preferred.
• Skills: Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Strong understanding of branding, typography, and layout. Knowledge of motion/video tools or 3D is a plus.
• Portfolio: Demonstrates strong concept-to-rollout thinking and polished final execution across branding, digital, and occasional print.
• Strong ability to work independently while supporting others through constructive input.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills; confident articulating creative choices to clients and stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset — able to align design solutions with business objectives.
• Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced agency environment.
