Job Purpose:
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support our Dorman business operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating financial performance, monitoring production costs, and providing insights that drive strategic decisions and business improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate financial performance against plans and budgets, identify variances, and recommend actions to improve results — with a key focus on Dorman business operations.
- Monitor and analyze all cost elements involved in Dorman production, including child part costs, sub-con costs, logistics, packaging, storage, and other related expenses.
- Provide input and participate in price revision exercises and cost calculations for Dorman business products.
- Prepare and maintain the Statement of Comprehensive Income (SOCI) for the Dorman business.
- Conduct financial risk assessments and recommend strategies to minimize potential risks.
- Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team on stock count initiatives, verifying physical inventory against system records and investigating discrepancies.
Principal Accountability:
Accountable for producing accurate and timely financial and non-financial reports that enable management to evaluate performance and hold teams accountable for their results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the automotive manufacturing industry.
Key Competencies:
- Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Able to clearly explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strategic Mindset: Uses financial knowledge to support strategic planning and informed decision-making.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy and completeness in financial reports and analyses.
