The Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical, electrical, and electronic components into complete mechatronic products or sub-assemblies. The role requires high attention to detail, adherence to work instructions, and ensuring product quality, functionality, and safety.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssembly & Production
- Perform assembly of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components according to work instructions, technical drawings, and SOPs.
- Assemble wiring, sensors, actuators, motors, and mechanical frames for mechatronic systems.
- Conduct basic soldering, crimping, cable routing, and wiring harness assembly.
- Ensure correct component fitting, alignment, and torque application.
- Operate basic hand tools, power tools, jigs, and fixtures.
Quality & Testing
- Perform in-process quality checks to ensure assemblies meet specifications.
- Conduct simple functional tests (e.g., continuity test, movement test, power-on test).
- Report non-conformities, defects, or deviations to the supervisor.
Documentation & Process Compliance
- Complete production records, checklists, and materials usage forms.
- Follow work instructions, BOM (Bill of Materials), and revision updates.
- Assist in updating assembly documentation if required.
- Maintain 5S, cleanliness, and organization at the workstation.
Safety & Equipment Care
- Follow all safety procedures related to tools, electrical handling, and mechanical assembly.
- Participate in equipment preventive maintenance activities.
- Ensure safe use and proper storage of tools and instruments.
Requirements
- SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related field (preferred).
- 0–2 years of experience in electronics, electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics assembly.
- Basic understanding of electrical & mechanical components.
- Ability to read simple diagrams, wiring schematics, or assembly drawings.
- Skill in soldering, crimping, cable management (added advantage).
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
- Basic troubleshooting skills (advantage).
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- This is a fixed-term contract employment for 6 months. If the contract is successfully completed and both sides are satisfied, there have high chances to be converted as permanent employees.
