About the role

This is a full-time Inventory Control Assistant role with Delta Land Berhad, based in Sibu, Sarawak. As the Inventory Control Assistant for Delta Grocer, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our retail stores by effectively managing inventory levels and stock movements.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist in monitoring and controlling inventory levels to avoid stock discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
  • Support the warehouse team with stock movement and organization.
  • Utilize inventory management systems and MS Excel to track stock data.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely replenishment and stock availability.
  • Prepare reports related to inventory status and stock discrepancies.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations during stock handling.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification; Diploma in related field is an added advantage.
  • At least 1 year of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or related fields; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and MS Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically fit to handle stock movement and conduct stock counts.
  • Good communication skills, able to speak and write effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Willing to work on weekends and public holidays as required.
