Overview

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with hands-on experience in designing warehouse or industrial building structures. Candidates without formal education or certification are welcome, as long as they can demonstrate practical skills and experience in structural design.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist in designing structural systems for warehouse buildings, including steel structures, long-span frames, roof trusses, and foundations.

· Prepare structural calculations, sketches, and relevant documentation.

· Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure designs comply with required standards and project specifications.

· Coordinate with contractors, draftsmen, and fabrication workshops.

· Conduct site visits and provide technical support during construction.

· Ensure designs prioritise safety, practicality, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

· 1–3 years of experience in structural design (industrial buildings or warehouses preferred).

· Familiarity with Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D) for 3D modelling or structure visualization.

· Experience designing or assisting in warehouse structures (±100m × 40m).

· Experience working on maritime-related building structures (shipbuilding yards, marine fabrication buildings, etc.).

· Able to read and interpret structural drawings and produce basic design sketches.

· Good understanding of steel structure concepts and long-span building design.

· Strong teamwork and communication skills with a willingness to learn and improve.

· Experience coordinating with fabricators or steel detailers.

· Exposure to Malaysian Standards (MS) or Eurocodes.
