About the role:
As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will lead the Back of House team to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations. You'll oversee food preparation, maintain high standards of quality and hygiene, and ensure every dish meets the restaurant's expectations.
We're looking for someone who can lead by example — guiding and motivating the kitchen team, solving challenges on the spot, and keeping operations running seamlessly. Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight: Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth coordination among chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff for timely and efficient food preparation.
- Team Leadership & Scheduling: Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff; plan and manage rosters to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
- Food Quality & Consistency: Monitor food preparation, presentation, and taste to maintain the restaurant's standards and brand expectations.
- Hygiene & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards in the kitchen.
- Inventory & Cost Management: Oversee stock levels, manage food inventory, minimize wastage, and assist in cost-control measures.
- Reporting & Communication: Prepare reports on kitchen performance, food output, and staff efficiency; communicate effectively with management and Front of House team.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work with management to implement menu updates, operational improvements, and kitchen initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the F&B industry, preferably in a similar supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience overseeing both service and kitchen operations.
- Able to communicate in Mandarin
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen best practices.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
- Experience in Taiwanese or Asian cuisine will be an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
- Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop both front-of-house and kitchen teams.
- Operational Management: Skilled in overseeing daily restaurant operations, staff scheduling, and workflow coordination.
- Customer Service Excellence: Strong focus on delivering high-quality guest experiences and handling feedback professionally.
- Food Safety & Hygiene Knowledge: Knowledgeable in food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and kitchen best practices.
- Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Quick and practical decision-making to resolve operational or customer-related issues efficiently.

Our client is looking for a dedicated and hands-on Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily outlet operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing both front-of-house or kitchen teams, ensuring exceptional customer service, consistent food quality, high hygiene standards, and smooth operational efficiency in a fast-paced dining environment.
