Job Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and sourcing strategies.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Perform Spend Analysis to support sourcing strategy and annual plan development.
  • Perform study of supply market intelligence (market, vendor, product, commodity, etc).
  • Implement procurement programs and develop knowledge and skill improvement within Sime Darby Industrial Malaysia.
  • Drive procurement cost reduction initiatives within Sime Darby Industrial Malaysia.
  • Support the development and drive the implementation of Group Procurement strategies, policies and initiatives at Sime Darby Industrial Malaysia.
  • Contribute to the development of procurement planning processes.
  • Lead/Manage the procurement processes at Sime Darby Industrial Malaysia level; tender management.
  • Drive the alignment of Divisional SOP to GPPA and ensure compliance to GPPA.
  • Drive and manage capability development and knowledge management for the Sime Darby Industrial Malaysia.

Operation

  • Ensure new vendors are pre-qualified in accordance to GPPA/Division SOP requirement.
  • Oversee the procurement process arising from Group wide purchase requisition.
  • Conduct tenders in accordance to Division SOP/GPPA and make recommendations to Tender Committee.
  • Understanding and influencing sourcing project / business requirements. Identify opportunities that focus on cost reductions, efficiencies/quality improvements, risk mitigation, industry and supply trends and shifts in technology.
  • Supplier Classification, Relationship Management and contract management
  • Proactively work with Stakeholders and assist in or directly manage spend
  • Monitor Strategic/key Suppliers to provide internal notifications and develop risk mitigation scenarios.
