POSITION: QUANTITY SURVEYOR

LOCATION: SANDAKAN, SABAH.

PROJECT: PROJEK PEMBINAAN LOJI RAWATAN KUMBAHAN & RANGKAIAN PAIP PEMBENTUNGAN DI BANDAR SANDAKAN.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for all pre-contracts, contracts and post contracts work which include preparation of sub-contract agreements to sub-contractors, claims to principals and finalization of claims by sub-contractors in respect of works progress which include liaison with sub-contractors & consultants on claim amount based on Project Manager or Project Engineer's verification.
• Responsible for the follow up and tracking on all contractual matters i.e. Issuance of Certificate of Practical Completion, Defects Liability Period, Release of Bank Guarantee, Insurances and etc, and to liaise with relevant departments for required action.
• Responsible for the preparation of Variation Orders and final accounts.
• Responsible for the preparation and timely submission of monthly progress claims to Client/s.
• Responsible for the compilation and submission of monthly reports as may be required.
• Responsible for the preparation of quantities taking, bill of quantities and cost estimate for the Company Projects as instructed;
• Responsible for attending site meetings and visitation, whenever necessary.
• Responsible for the handling of correspondences to Clients, Consultants and sub-contractors on claims and contractual matters.
• To carry out any other assignments/tasks as instructed by higher authority.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–5 years QS experience in civil, infrastructure, or sewerage projects
• Proficient in BQ preparation, measurements, cost estimation, VO evaluation, and claim preparation.
• Familiar with construction materials, methods, and specifications for infrastructure/sewerage works.
• Ability to prepare and review progress claims, final accounts, and sub-contract agreements.
• Skilled in technical documentation, report preparation, and contractual correspondence.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication and coordination skills with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Able to attend site meetings, perform site measurements, and monitor work progress.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.
