Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily IT security operations including incident response, administration, system health checks, and infrastructure monitoring.
  • Detect and analyze security threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches; perform investigations, vulnerability scans, patch management, and penetration testing.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, maintain incident documentation, and prepare postmortem reports.
  • Review and assess IT security controls to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and BNM guidelines.
  • Serve as the in-house security subject matter expert, advising teams on security controls, risk mitigation, and secure architecture design.
  • Develop and deliver security awareness training and phishing simulations.
  • Coordinate internal/external audits, manage remediation, and ensure timely closure of compliance gaps.
  • Maintain and update IT security policies, procedures, and guidelines; prepare security assessment reports and recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, IT, or equivalent.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CEH, GIAC, GCIH, GWAPT are an advantage.
  • 8–12 years of experience in IT security operations, technologies, ITGC, and security processes.
  • Strong hands-on experience with security tools and technologies (Zero Trust, firewalls, NAC, IDS/IPS, SIEM, WAF, VPN, endpoint security, encryption, DLP, etc.).
  • Proven experience in vulnerability management, penetration testing, security architecture, compliance, and incident response.
  • Skilled in preparing security documentation, conducting awareness training, and supporting audits.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills; able to work independently, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willing to provide after-hours support during urgent incidents.

Salary range: RM10,000 - RM12,500
