The Senior Business Development Executive (SBDE) plays a strategic role in driving business growth by identifying opportunities, engaging potential clients, and securing corporate and commercial interior design projects. This position requires strong client relationship management, effective coordination with internal teams, and the ability to manage the pre-sales cycle from lead generation to successful project acquisition. As a senior team member, the SBDE is expected to take ownership of business opportunities, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the long-term growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities

· Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and market research.

· Build, maintain, and expand a strong client network within the corporate office, commercial, and workplace design sectors.

· Secure and lead client meetings to present the company's portfolio, services, and value proposition.

· Obtain and manage RFP/Tender invitations, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions.

· Collaborate with internal teams (Design, QS, Project Management) to prepare proposals, quotations, and tenders that meet client requirements.

· Take ownership of submission timelines, documentation, and proposal quality.

· Lead client discussions and presentations, preparing minutes and ensuring timely follow-up on agreed action items.

· Maintain consistent, clear, and professional communication with clients and internal stakeholders throughout the project acquisition process.

· Support long-term client relationship building, driving repeat business and referrals.

· Attend and represent the company at client briefings, design presentations, and project handovers.

· Provide guidance and support to junior team members where needed to ensure smooth BD operations.

· Undertake additional assignments as directed by the Head of Department, Country Manager, or Managing Director.

Qualifications & Requirements

· 3+ years of proven experience in Business Development, preferably in interior design, architecture, or related industries.

· Strong track record of client acquisition and relationship management in the commercial design & build sector.

· Solid understanding of the full business development cycle, including lead generation, tendering, and contract negotiation.

· Experience working closely with design and project teams on proposals and pitches.

· Familiarity with budgeting and QS processes is an advantage.

· Confident in cold calling, lead generation, and high-level client engagement.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; Mandarin or other languages are an added advantage.

· Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with CRM tools preferred.

· Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results under deadlines.

· A collaborative, driven, and client-focused mindset. Good time management and organizational abilities.

· Experience in quotations, tenders, and proposal presentation preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4, RM5,000.00 per month
