About the Role

Key role in supporting the GCFO in overseeing the financial operations and strategic performance of the Business Units within a leading public listed company. The incumbent will be responsible for driving financial efficiency, strengthening internal controls, managing tax and compliance matters, and providing in-depth financial analysis to support informed decision-making. The role requires strong technical expertise - financial modeling skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze budgets, cash flow, and the financial and operational performance of the Business Units.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and manage finance-related operational data to support the Business Unit's daily activities, ensuring optimal cost efficiency.
  • Support the analysis of financial results across the company's investment portfolio and operating entities to provide insights for management decision-making.
  • Review, enhance, and implement the Business Unit's financial processes, internal control frameworks, and related policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate internal audit reports and findings, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the Business Unit.
  • Oversee group tax planning activities and manage all tax compliance and advisory matters for the Business Units.
  • Coordinate and liaise with cross-functional teams, including overseas subsidiaries, as well as external stakeholders such as lawyers, company secretaries, auditors, tax advisors, and bankers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably gained in a
    public listed company
    or a
    Big Four accounting firm.
  • Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in
    financial modeling
    and data interpretation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
  • Demonstrates high levels of accountability, professionalism, integrity, and maturity.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working effectively under tight deadlines.
