About the role

This full-time position is based in (EQUINE PARK) Seri Kembangan, Selangor, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects within budget and to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates and valuations for construction projects
  • Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Monitoring project expenditure and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Providing financial and commercial advice to project managers and clients
  • Preparing progress reports and presenting findings to stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget

What we're looking for

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Chartered membership of a professional body, such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in a quantity surveying role, preferably within the construction industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams
  • Proficiency in using software applications such as Excel, project management tools, and cost estimation software
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and commercially-minded approach to your work
