Job description

  • Set up and operate 3-axis, 4-axis and or 5-axis CNC milling machines according to procedures, programs and engineering drawings to manufacture machined parts efficiently and to specifications.
  • Change cutting tools and adjust machines feed and speeds as needed.

    Responsible in CNC machine setup for junior level CNC Machinist to help eliminate non-conformance and machine down time.
  • Setup and operate CNC Machines to produce parts as per drawing and within specifications

    Setup, operate and maintains measuring equipment, gauges and fixtures for inspection
  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of work area at all time
  • Responsible for material wastage control, manufacturing cost reduction and compliance with safety requirements
  • Identify roots cause and corrective action to resolve production process and quality issues
  • Use prescribed procedures to inspect parts produced to assure compliance with specification and quality requirements that will eliminate defects, scrap and rework
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition daily, report defective machine, equipment, material and/or faulty operations to supervisor
  • To communicate effectively with CNC Programmers, supervisors and/or other CNC machinists during problem resolution and instruction.
