About the Role

A leading corporate learning and events organization is expanding its presence in Malaysia and Singapore. We are seeking a dynamic Corporate Training Events & Strategic Partnerships Manager to take ownership of designing, planning, and executing high-impact corporate events, while building strategic partnerships to drive growth.

This is a first-of-its-kind, hands-on role, ideal for someone with strong event management expertise, creative thinking, and a strategic mindset. You will have the opportunity to design innovative programs from the ground up, attract corporate participation leveraging HRD Corp subsidies, and shape the organization's presence in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, planning, and execution of corporate learning events, multi-day programs, and professional development initiatives across Malaysia (and eventually Singapore) from the Johor office
  • Develop 4–6 high-impact annual events such as summits, leadership forums, masterclasses, symposiums, and corporate training programs.
  • Identify market needs across states, conceptualize events that meet demand, and set appropriate pricing models (e.g., HRD Corp-funded programs).
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with corporates, training bodies, government agencies, and industry associations.
  • Ensure HRD Corp compliance for claimable training programs and other regulatory requirements.
  • Drive event profitability through sponsorships, ticketing, and partnership collaborations.
  • Oversee all aspects of event delivery — concept creation, budgeting, marketing, logistics, and on-site execution.
  • Collaborate with the Singapore HQ to co-create regional events and maintain consistent brand presence.
  • Lead a small team and implement systems for performance tracking, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Event Management, Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' of experience in designing and delivering corporate events, professional conferences, or training programs.
  • Experience from training institutions or event companies specializing in corporate learning is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HRD Corp funding frameworks and training program approvals.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, plan, and execute multi-day corporate learning events that engage target audiences.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with resourcefulness and comfort in a fast-growing, cross-border setup.
  • Proficiency in English both written and spoken.
