Responsibilities

i) Facility and maintenance

  • Developing specifications for the project's needed equipment.
  • Responsible for new instrument/machine development, layout design, product testing, material evaluation, facility commissioning, setup and qualifying phases to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal functioning of equipment and system.
  • Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
  • Identifying and resolving issues related to facility operations, including technical problems and emergencies.
  • Liaise with contractors and vendors for various facility-related tasks.
  • Identifying areas for improvement in facility operations and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
  • Practice good 5S in work area, tidy and safe for conductive work environment.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by direct superior / management.

ii) Bag filter operation

  • Become a competent person (CePBFO) which is certified by DOE EiMAS
  • Operate and supervise the bag filter operation as per DOE legal requirement.
  • Ensure compliance to DOE environmental quality act & clean air regulation.
  • Maximize the bag filter's efficiency and ensuring its smooth operation to minimize downtime and costs.
  • Conduct performance monitoring, identifying potential issues, and performing necessary maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
  • Promptly address any signs of malfunction or upset conditions in the bag filter and taking appropriate action.
  • Maintain dust explosion protection system and local exhaust ventilation (LEV) system.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Industrial Automation & Robotic or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in manufacturing field.
  • Possess competent person certificate (CePBFO) is added advantage
  • Required Skill(s): Knowledge in AutoCAD 2D is a must, tooling design, Computer literate: Excel, Words and Power Point.
  • Strong technical skill especially mechanical system.
  • Good problem-solving skill.
  • Matured, analytical and able to work independently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to speak, read and writing in English and Mandarin due to liaise with supplier.
