Manufacturing Manager

Oversee the Manufacturing Department's production, quality, cost, and team management, ensuring the efficient and stable functioning of all production lines, while ensuring timely, high-quality, and adequate fulfillment of customer orders. Continuous improvement strategy to improve process optimization and implement lean production methodology onto production to perpetually enhance equipment utilization, product yield, and employee skills, thereby supporting the company's strategic objective of evolving into a world-class innovative manufacturing organization.
Job Description:
- Take full responsibility for the organization of production within the Manufacturing Department, ensuring effective coordination, execution of plans, and monitoring of processes, ensuring production tasks are complete within lead time and achieving the customer's quality requirement and standards.
- Assist process engineers and programming engineers in optimizing processes and developing programs to enhance equipment efficiency and accuracy. Advocate for the implementation of cutting-edge manufacturing technologies, automation, and digitalization.
- Diligently enforce the organization's quality management system to guarantee the stability of process quality and swiftly resolve any irregularities. Work in conjunction with the Quality Department to continually enhance quality control techniques.
- Accountable for the functioning, maintenance, and technical refinement of equipment on all production lines. Reasonably allocate manpower, materials, fixtures, and cutting tool resources to improve the utilization of equipment.
- Establish and improve management mechanisms for each production group and cultivate and enhance the capabilities of group leaders and engineers. Promote 6S management and safe production, creating a positive manufacturing environment.
- Strategize a production control plan and implement lean manufacturing to improve efficiency and drive for cost effectiveness. Formulate and implement departmental performance indicators to measure team member's capabilities and self-improvement. Evaluate indicators in collaboration with the Human Resources Department.
- Adhere to leadership directives and fulfill additional responsibilities assigned by superiors
Requirements:
- Over 10 years of experience in the precision parts machining industry, with at least 5 years of production management experience in CNC machining centres, CNC lathes, and automated production lines.
- Majors in Mechanical Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or related fields
- Proficient in operating Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good command of both written and spoken in English, Malay and Mandarin.
Maintain professional ethics and consistently protect confidentiality
- Familiar with machining processes and procedures, with strong on-site management capabilities.
- Able to independently prepare various production reports, and skilled in ERP systems.
- Strong sense of responsibility, quick thinking, clear logic, and excellent organizational and coordination skills.
- Over 5 years of machining technical experience and over 5 years of on-site management experience.
