About the role

As the Head of Accounts for Senari Synergy, you will lead and manage the accounting and financial reporting functions across multiple subsidiaries. Your role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, compliance with regulatory standards, and alignment with the Group's strategic objectives.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial statement preparation
  2. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  3. Oversee the implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to mitigate financial risks
  4. Provide financial analysis and advice to support business planning and strategic initiatives
  5. Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting
  7. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices

What we're looking for

  1. A qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or Degree in Accounting with 8+ years of post-qualification experience
  2. Extensive experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably within the financial services or consulting industry
  3. Strong technical accounting skills, with a deep understanding of accounting standards and regulations
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  5. Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing accounting teams
  6. Proficient in the use of accounting software and data analysis tools
  7. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

We have been in the business of providing tank storage logistics in Sarawak and currently own and operate two out of three petroleum storage terminals in the State, located in the Southern and Central Region of Sarawak.
