Job Description

  • Prepare detailed fabrication drawings for sheet metal, structural frames, brackets, ducts, and assemblies based on design concepts or general arrangement drawings.
  • Develop 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor).
  • Ensure drawings comply with fabrication standards—including weld symbols, tolerances, bend allowances, and material specifications.
  • Coordinate with engineers, production, and quality teams to ensure design intent and manufacturability.
  • Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and drawing registers for all released drawings.
  • Revise and update drawings according to engineering changes or feedback from the production floor.
  • Assist in developing jigs, fixtures, and cutting layouts for efficient manufacturing.
  • Maintain drawing control and documentation as per company quality procedures.
  • Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, and inspection stages.
  • Ensure compliance with company and safety standards in all design and drafting activities.

Job Requirement

  • Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in metal fabrication drafting or mechanical design.
  • Experience in sheet metal, structural steel, or enclosure fabrication preferred.
  • Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
  • Understanding of fabrication processes—laser cutting, bending, welding, assembly, and finishing.
  • Knowledge of weld symbols, GD&T, and material standards
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
  • Familiar with drawing control systems and revision procedures.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple drawings or projects under tight timelines.
  • Problem-solving mindset and proactive in resolving fabrication issues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM4,500.00 per month
