Scope of work:

  • Switchboard Operation - Authorised to operate low-voltage switchboards, including switching, isolating circuits, re-energizing after fault removal.
  • Inspection & Testing - Conduct inspection / testing of electrical installations (switchboard, protection, earthing, isolation) to ensure safety, compliance, and proper functioning.
  • Maintenance & Operation Under EIU Rules - Perform routine maintenance for low voltage switchboard components, ensure equipment is safe, report or isolate faults.
  • Safety & Protection Work - Know and comply with electrical safety legislation (Electricity Rules 1999, isolation, protection against shock, overcurrent, earth fault protection).
  • Emergency Response / Fault Handling - Be able to respond to electrical faults in low voltage switchboard systems, able to isolate, repair or manage according to rules.
  • Submission of documents - require to do submission of documents to local authority.
  • Other tasks - assign as part of job requirement to fullfill the overall completion of projects.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years experience working in environment with electrical equipment, including controlling live equipment.
  • Attend Chargeman L1 course at accredited institution + pass theory, practical, and Electricity Ordinance & Electricity Rules (EOER) exams.
  • Educational qualification: often SPM (Secondary School) or equivalent, plus possibly electrical / wireman certificates (G1 / G2 / SKM etc)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1, RM4,000.00 per month
