Roles

  1. Assist Head of Electrical Maintenance in planning, coordination and implementation of the plant's maintenance programme including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, outages, and major overhauls.
  2. Execute maintenance plan programs according to maintenance policy.
  3. Manage modifications and improvement projects (Capital Program).
  4. Assist Head of Electrical Maintenance in Station's internal and external audit i.e. Insurance Technical Audit, M&E Audit, Group Corporate Assurance Audit, Assessment by DOSH etc.
  5. Take lead team of Supervisor and Technician in trouble shooting and fault investigation exercise.
  6. Prepare fault investigation report, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) report, post-mortem report and maintenance analysis report.
  7. Taking role implementing and maintaining the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 in the station.

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Responsible for managing Maintenance Computerized System (SAP) for issuance of work order, purchasing request, and all related maintenance activities.
  2. Implementation of short and long terms maintenance strategies with respect to improve lifespan and reliability of equipment.
  3. Generates maintenance task schedules and job assignments to Supervisor and Technician(s).
  4. Requisitions supplies, equipment and spare parts for the electrical department.
  5. Prepare tender documents, evaluation report and recommendation report for Tender Board Approval.
  6. Attend, manage, troubleshoot and rectify breakdown, tripping and incident occurred on electrical system or electrical installation.
  7. Investigate and analyse all tripping and breakdown incident related to electrical system and equipment and prepare investigation or finding report.
  8. Prepare maintenance analysis report, finding report, Root Cause Analysis report including recommendation report.
  9. Monitor critical spare parts and ensure it is always at require level and replenish the stock.
  10. Assists in the development, implementation and enforcement of plant safety practices that promote an injury and accident free workplace.
  11. Maintains required maintenance documentation such as maintenance report, service report, testing certificate and commissioning report.
  12. Comply with all applicable SHEQ legal requirements and our stakeholders' specifications by establishing policies, programmes and practices in order to conduct operations in a healthy, safe and environmentally sound manner with safety first, quality foremost & pursuing excellence.
  13. To perform other additional tasks that are relevant and necessary to accomplish the company overall objectives, which may be assigned from time to time.

Qualification and Competency (License)

  1. Minimum Education Qualification required:

  2. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and registered with B.E.M. as a Graduate Engineer.

Work Experience

  1. Minimum years of working experience related to the work scope:

  2. 5 years of experience in electrical operations and maintenance.

  3. Work experience required:

  4. Experience in maintenance of Combined Cycle Power Plant.

  5. Experience in maintenance of other industry such as Petrochemical plant, Heavy Industry, Oil and Gas will be considered.
  6. Experience in maintenance Computerized System (SAP)
  7. Technical understanding on electrical preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.

Note: This is a Fixed Term Contract role
