Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our finance team. The primary focus of this role is to manage the accounts receivable cycle efficiently, ensuring timely invoicing, collection, and reconciliation of customer accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and issue invoices to customers accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and follow up accordingly.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to customer accounts, including payment disputes or billing errors.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, including contact information, payment terms, and credit limits.
  • Ensure timely processing of payments and accurate posting of transactions in the accounting system.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and enhance service delivery.
  • Prepare monthly accounts receivable reports for management review, highlighting key metrics and trends.
  • Assist in the month-end closing process by ensuring all accounts receivable transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Implement and improve processes related to the accounts receivable cycle to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Remain compliant with financial regulations and organizational policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or similar financial role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly related to the accounts receivable cycle.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
