Mining Truck Service Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for on-site installation, commissioning, regular maintenance, and troubleshooting of mining dump trucks, articulated trucks, and other mining vehicles. Quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system issues to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Develop and implement periodic maintenance plans for mining trucks, strictly adhering to Malaysia mining site EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards. Conduct safety inspections and propose corrective measures for potential hazards.
  • Manage on-site spare parts inventory, prepare parts replenishment plans, assist clients in verifying part models and providing purchase recommendations. Handle the collection and return of warranty components.
  • Conduct training sessions for drivers and maintenance teams on equipment operation, daily maintenance, and basic troubleshooting to enhance customers' self-maintenance capabilities.
  • Accurately record each service activity, including work order details, fault descriptions, repair procedures, and parts replacements. Prepare regular service reports and collect product quality feedback and improvement suggestions for the R&D department.
  • Maintain good customer relationships by promptly responding to service requests and complaints. Coordinate with headquarters and suppliers to resolve major failures and improve customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or above in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields. Possession of relevant Malaysian engineering or technical certifications is an advantage.
  • Minimum2 years of experience in maintenance or after-sales service of mining trucks or large construction machinery; familiar with major mining truck brands, structures, and electronic control systems.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools for mining equipment; capable of independently analyzing and repairing complex faults and handling emergency repairs on site.
  • Willing to work and reside at mining sites with flexible scheduling; must hold a valid driver's license and be open to travel across Malaysia for project assignments.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills; able to liaise independently with mining site clients and internal teams to ensure smooth service operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3, RM4,000.00 per month
