Kechara Soup Kitchen (KSK) has been serving marginalised communities in Malaysia for over 17 years; these include the homeless, urban poor and Orang Asli populations. In recent years we have strategically expanded our focus upstream of the poverty curve to reach the urban poor via our Food Bank and Empowerment Programs. These programs aim to provide assistance to the most vulnerable segments of our community before they fall into complete poverty and hardship.

Operations Administrator Job Description

1) Conduct physical interview and register beneficiaries, performing house assessments and creating beneficiary cards

2) Address beneficiary request during food distribution and maintain updated information in a database

3) Provide social services, including ID replacement, medical assistance, shelter placement and job placement

4) Research community social services and welfare aid options, liaising with beneficiaries, and charity partners.

5) Conduct orientations and briefings for new volunteers, guiding them in beneficiary interviews.

6) Participate or manage night street food distributions.

7) Assist with loading and unloading food and donation items while familiarizing yourself with kitchen and medical service operations.

8) Supporting ad hoc task based on KSK evolving requirements.

Provide administrative and organizational support to ensure the smooth and efficient daily operations of the organisation

Operations Administrator Requirements:

  • Diploma in business administration, facility management, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as an operations administrator or in a similar position.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems like Odoo, SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving skills, teamwork and can-do attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM3,200.00 per month
