New Product Development Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.

General Responsibilities

• Implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacturing or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies
• Collaborates with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products
• Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines
• Organizes records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations
• Key participant in planning and designing manufacturing processes in an industrial plant
• Organizes the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations such as machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding and brazing, assembly, and material handling

Experience / Qualifications

• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

• Manages new product project from manufacturing view.

• Ensures all process of product development project run properly within the scheduled timeline.
• Accountable to the management review/ Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process and ensures projects fall within scope of product plan guidelines.
• Eliminates barriers to progress within/outside team.
• Heads the decision-making process to set pace, encourage input, deal with conflict ambiguity.
• Works with cross functions to ensure right processes are in place to meet customer needs fully and quickly. Removes barriers to integration across functional perspectives.
• Develops meaningful measures and reports progress against them.
• Supports the design of new fixtures and the optimization devices.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other equivalent ones.

• At least 3 Years of experience in mechanical design or electrization design area, experience in automotive or new product introduction is a plus

• Good knowledge of Automotive Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) / Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) / Measurement System Analysis (MSA) requirements.
• Good interpersonal / communication skills and able to interface at international/overseas levels.
