About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and driven Specialist, Sustainable Financial Services to join our team at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will play a key part in strengthening RHB's sustainable financing capabilities. You will support the development of our underwriting toolkit, assist relationship managers and credit teams in deal evaluation, and contribute to the bank's long-term sustainability agenda.

What you will be doing

  • Support the build-out and refinement of RHB's overall approach and toolkit for underwriting sustainable financing solutions for customers in Malaysia

  • Work closely with relationship managers and credit teams to evaluate and execute sustainable financing deals

  • Facilitate collaboration across RHB Group (domestic and regional) to identify and secure regional opportunities aligned with the Bank's risk appetite

  • Serve as a subject matter expert, particularly in the healthcare sector, to assess and mitigate associated risks and safeguard the Bank's interests

  • Source and analyze data, benchmarks, and market intelligence on key risk drivers to inform risk assessments

  • Develop internal capacity by coaching and training staff to independently access and apply sustainability-related data and benchmarks

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated interest or experience in sustainable finance, ESG, credit risk, or sector-specific financing (e.g., healthcare)

  • Strong analytical and risk assessment skills

  • Effective cross-functional collaboration and communication skills

  • A self-starter with a continuous learning mindset and proactive approach to solving complex problems

  • Familiarity with sustainability trends, regulatory expectations, and sustainable finance tools or frameworks is a plus
