About the role
This is a full-time Account Executive position at SOCOE SDN. BHD., based in Kuching, Sarawak. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive bookkeeping and small practice accounting services to our clients.
What you'll be doing
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely processing of accounts payable and receivable
- Preparing monthly bank reconciliations, financial statements, and management reports
- Assisting with tax planning, preparation, and filing
- Providing administrative support to the accounting team as needed
- Liaising with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions
- Continuously identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems
What we're looking for
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or small practice accounting role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
