Job Summary

The Senior Executive, Accounts will be responsible for managing a full spectrum of accounting functions, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies, and supporting the company's operations across manufacturing, construction, and property development sectors. This role requires a strong understanding of financial reporting, costing, and regulatory compliance, as well as excellent coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, including consolidation of group accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Support financial disclosures and submissions related to Bursa Malaysia and other statutory bodies.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all financial statements and reports.
  • Prepare, analyze, and monitor costing reports for the manufacturing sector to support decision-making and cost control initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights on financial performance and variances.
  • Liaise with local authorities to secure permits, licenses, and approvals for projects related to manufacturing, construction, and property development.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax submissions and reporting obligations.
  • Coordinate and liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers, and legal representatives on statutory filings, audits, and financial matters.
  • Provide accurate and timely responses to internal and external stakeholders on financial-related inquiries.
  • Maintain and update accurate records of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with internal control procedures and company policies.
  • Continuously review and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the development sector, preferably in construction and/or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and costing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, SAP, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Experience dealing with local authorities for permits and regulatory matters is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Bursa Malaysia reporting requirements is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM4,000.00 per month
