Procurement Engineer / Executive

Location : Shah Alam

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review technical specifications and ensure compliance with engineering standards (ISO, ASTM, ASME).
  • Source, evaluate, and manage local & international suppliers.
  • Support project, design, and production teams in procuring equipment, parts, and services.
  • Negotiate pricing and propose value engineering solutions.
  • Coordinate logistics, shipping, customs clearance, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor supplier performance, quality assurance, and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate across departments (Design, Project, Production, Sales, Finance, Logistics).
  • Maintain procurement records and prepare regular reports.
  • Stay updated on market trends and promote cost-saving, ethical sourcing practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
  • At least 4–6 years of procurement experience in engineering/manufacturing/project environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge in evaluating materials, equipment, and supplier capabilities.
  • Experience in sourcing from both local and international markets.
  • Good negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in procurement systems, Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, and reporting tools.
  • Must have a valid Malaysian driving license
