Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, cash flow) for two entities.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable standards.
- Handle tax-related matters, including SST, corporate tax, PCB, , and ensure all statutory submissions are completed on time.
- Maintain proper accounting records, schedules, and documentation to support audits and tax filings.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and company secretary to ensure smooth year-end closing and compliance.
- Prepare management reports and provide financial insights to support business decisions.
- Assist in improving accounting processes, internal controls, and financial systems for greater efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA are an added advantage).
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience handling full set of accounts.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian taxation (corporate tax, SST, and personal income tax).
- Experience handling accounts for multiple entities is preferred.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, Autocount, or equivalent) and strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to meet tight reporting deadlines.
- Mandarin speaker required as the role involves regular communication with counterparts in China.
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with external and internal stakeholders.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality, especially in handling personal tax matters of management.
