Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the daily execution of civil or electrical works at the project site, ensuring compliance with design specifications, standards, and quality requirements.
  2. Act as the primary liaison between the project management team, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project progress.
  3. Maintain accurate records of site activities, materials, inspections, and progress reports.

  4. Ensure all activities align with Environmental, Safety, and Health regulations and policies, identifying and mitigating risks.

  5. Provide technical solutions to on-site challenges and escalate complex issues to the relevant managers.

  6. Verify materials, workmanship, and site conditions to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  7. Interpret and implement construction drawings and coordinate the work to align with planned timelines.
  8. Oversee the installation of switchgear, transformers, cables, and earthing systems for substation projects (Electrical).
  9. Ensure compliance with design, specifications, and relevant codes.
  10. Assist in testing, calibration, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems (Electrical).
  11. Maintain records of electrical works, including test results, inspections, and progress updates (Electrical).
  12. Collaborate with other disciplines (mechanical) to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems with overall project objectives.

Requirements and Skills

Educational Qualifications:

  1. Diploma in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Professional certifications are an advantage.

Experience:

  1. Minimum 1–5 years of experience in site supervision, preferably in substation or infrastructure projects.
  2. Role for Site Engineer (Electrical) and Project Engineer (Electrical)
  3. Added advantages if you have experience in TNB construction for substations and or related field

Skills:

  1. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.
  2. Familiarity with substation systems, components, and construction methods.
  3. Ability to identify and resolve on-site technical and operational issues efficiently.
  4. Proficient in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD) and project management tools.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder interactions and reporting.
  6. Skilled in managing timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

Personal Attributes:

  1. Detail-oriented and organized.
  2. Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  3. Willingness to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines as required.
  4. Possession of a valid driving license for site visits.
  5. Willing to travel and work at project sites.
