Job Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance to colleagues to better understand technology products and systems, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Lead and manage technology requirements within your domain of expertise.
- Develop and implement strategies for the selection, deployment, and optimization of data centre plant and equipment.
- Oversee the identification and evaluation of new technologies to enhance data centre speed to market, performance and efficiency.
- Ensure full lifecycle Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is applied to plant and equipment selections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration of new technologies into new and existing data centre infrastructure.
- Monitor industry trends and advancements to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Ensure plant and equipment selections meet in country regulations and industry standards.
- Prepare and coordinate the development of data centre, plant, equipment and systems specifications and deployment standards.
- Prepare and present reports on technology investigations, benefits, challenges, etc…
- Ensure sustainability is integrated into all aspects.
- Develop working level relationships with leading technology suppliers.
Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field.
- 5 – 10 years of experience in electrical development, design, engineering, commissioning, and operations.
- Must have experience with Data Centre
- Strong domain knowledge of technology and systems.
- Ability to manage multiple work priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Certifications related to data centre management or technology.
- Experience with sustainable and energy-efficient data centre technologies.
