Responsibilities:

Conveyancing/Corporate/Commercial/Banking

  • Handling a wide range of real estate, corporate, commercial and banking matters.
  • Providing accurate and well researched legal advice and support across the Group.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documents and commercial contracts and providing feedback on legal terms and conditions and internal reports.
  • Managing multiple assignments and supporting business units to ensure business and Group-wide initiatives are executed in a timely and accurate manner.

Litigation

  • Handling a wide-range of litigation, dispute resolutions and other contentious matters.
  • Fact finding, researching and developing litigation strategy.
  • Managing litigation risk and updating legal development affecting the Company.
  • Reviewing of pleadings, cause papers and submissions.
  • Attending court or non-court proceedings.
  • Reviewing and formulating policies, guidelines and procedures.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess a minimum qualification of Bachelors of Law (LLB) from a reputable university and called to the Malaysian Bar.

At least 2 years post-qualifying experience either in legal practice or corporate establishment.

Knowledge of housing legislations and regulations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate legal issues in a business-friendly way and influence key stakeholders.

Resourceful, commercially focused, confident, self-motivated and friendly team player with initiative and positive mindset.

Ability to manage a variety of assignments simultaneously.

Able to work independently with minimum supervision and thrive in a fast moving & dynamic environment.
