Cost Accountant

  1. Cost Accounting & Analysis
  2. Maintain and update cost accounting systems, cost standards, and BOMs (Bills of Materials).
  3. Perform detailed cost analysis for materials, labor, overhead, and production processes.

  4. Prepare and update standard costs and review variances regularly.

  5. Inventory & Production Costing

  6. Track inventory movements, perform stock valuations, and ensure accurate cost of goods sold (COGS).
  7. Conduct monthly and annual inventory reconciliations and cycle counts.

  8. Monitor WIP (Work in Progress) and ensure accurate costing of finished goods.

  9. Variance Analysis & Reporting

  10. Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances, and report root causes.
  11. Prepare monthly cost reports and dashboards for management review.

  12. Provide insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.

  13. Budgeting & Forecasting Support

  14. Assist with annual budget preparation, cost projections, and performance monitoring.

  15. Work with department heads to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.

  16. Compliance & Internal Controls

  17. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and audit requirements.
  18. Support internal and external audits by preparing cost-related schedules and documentation.

  19. Maintain proper internal controls related to cost accounting and inventory management.

  20. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  21. Liaise with production, procurement, warehouse, and finance teams for accurate cost and inventory data.
  22. Support new product costing, feasibility studies, and pricing decisions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM6, RM8,000.00 per month
