Talent Buddy Child Development, Therapy and Learning Center is seeking for fresh graduate or an experienced special education teacher/early education teacher/Interventionist to join our team in Sibu, Sarawak. This is a full-time/part-time position where you will play a pivotal part in supporting and empowering students with special educational needs, helping them reach their full potential.

This role will provide you a good stepping stone if you want to pursue a career in child psychology, early intervention or in special needs education.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students with a range of special needs
  • Collaborate with parents, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development
  • Develop and implement individualised education plans to address the unique needs of each student.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that fosters growth and confidence
  • Assist with the integration of special needs students into mainstream classroom activities
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation to track student progress
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in special education

What we're looking for

  • Minimum Diploma or Degree holders in relevant field. (fresh grads are welcome)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with parents, therapist and professionals.
  • Work well under pressure and open to feedback
  • Adaptability and patience in working with students who have varying learning styles and needs
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping abilities
  • Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students with special educational needs
  • Value continuous learning and always looking for ways to do things better
  • An objective thinker and a clear communicator
  • Fluent in English. Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia and Iban are a plus.
