Job Descriptions:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to management and other departments on various legal issues including contracts, compliance, and risk management.
  • Review and draft contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure they are legally sound and protect the company's interests.
  • Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations, including corporate governance, labor laws, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and mitigate legal risks.
  • Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and execution of contracts with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Monitor and manage contract performance and address any issues or disputes that arise.
  • Manage and resolve legal disputes and litigation, including working with external legal counsel when necessary.
  • Represent the company in negotiations, mediations, and legal proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that could impact the company.
  • Provide recommendations based on legal research to inform decision-making processes.
  • Identify and assess legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Implement and oversee risk management policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and manage the legal team, including providing guidance and training to junior legal staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business decisions.
  • Prepare and present reports on legal matters, compliance issues, and risk management to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Maintain accurate and organized legal records and documentation.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree In Law (LL.B), a Master's in Law (LL.M) or relevant certification.
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
  • At least 5-10 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
  • Candidate must have driving license (D).
