We are looking for candidates who are proficient in both
Mandarin and English
so as to draft/review contract in both languages and communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice on all business activities of our offices in the Asia-Pacific region, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts
• Draft and prepare legal documentation, internal reports and contract templates
• Advice and support on contentious matters in the region
• Ensure that compliance/data privacy issues/licensing issues are being appropriately handled and escalated when necessary
• Keeping updated of industry developments and legal trends
• Assist on ad-hoc special projects
• Supervise a small team
• Any other duties as may be assigned
Requirements:
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant legal experience in a regional law firm or in-house legal team.
• Past experience with legal and compliance work in telecommunications industry will be an advantage
• Experienced with master services agreements, procurement contracts, as well as other contracts frequently used in the info-communications and technology industry
• Excellent written and spoken
English and Mandarin
essential to communicate with Mandarin-speaking associates and to draft and review Mandarin documentation and contracts.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
