The role is for our subsidiary company, Gemological Institute of Malaysia (GIM), a private higher education institution which offers the Gemology and Jewellery Design programmes. As Sales and Marketing Executive, you'll be at the forefront of our mission to attract bright, motivated students who will thrive at Gemological Institute of Malaysia (GIM) under Tomei Group. You'll have the chance to shape futures, share our vision, and build lasting connections with prospective students and their families. Here's what you'll be doing:

Job Responsibilities:

1. Student Recruitment & Enrolment Growth

  • Provide accurate and positive counselling on academic programmes and campus life to prospective students and their parents (face-to-face and via digital platforms).
  • Achieve student enrolment targets through lead conversion and follow-ups.
  • Support and follow up on enquiries from digital marketing campaigns for enrolment conversion.
  • Plan and execute on-campus events and initiatives to enhance student recruitment.
  • Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and admissions processes.

2. Outreach & Relationship Management

  • Plan, prioritise, and attend external outreach activities such as school visits, exhibitions, roadshows, and education fairs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partner schools, agencies, counsellors, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate visits and promotional efforts to feeder schools, including those affiliated with Methodist and other denominational churches.
  • Engage with prospective parents to provide information on curriculum and student welfare.
  • Represent the institution in promotional events locally and internationally.

3. Partnership Engagement (Schools & Agencies)

  • Support assigned agents and school counsellors within your portfolio.
  • Execute outreach campaigns in line with the Partner School Strategy.
  • Lead and coordinate campus nurturing events to strengthen school partnerships.
  • Generate and manage leads for future intake years.
  • Conduct rapport-building efforts with agency partners to ensure strong collaboration.

4. Marketing & Campaign Coordination

  • Collaborate with external outsources company to implement promotional campaigns via social media, websites, banners, posters, and printed materials.
  • Ensure all outreach and school marketing events align with institutional branding standards.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to provide relevant marketing insights.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the reporting manager

5. Perform ad-hoc duty when assigned by superior.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess at least Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sales, marketing, or recruitment, preferably within the background in student recruitment (undergraduate/postgraduate), experience managing agency/school accounts and familiarity with the education recruitment cycle and event coordination.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Warm, approachable, and professional in student/parent engagement.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general digital communication tools.
  • Willing to work beyond standard office hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Possess a valid driving license and own transportation, with the flexibility to travel within Klang Valley and across Malaysia.
  • Fresh graduate is encouraged to apply.
