Job Title: Freight & Logistics Executive

Job Summary

The Freight & Logistics Executive is responsible for coordinating shipment arrangements, liaising with freight forwarders, and ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery of goods. The role involves obtaining and comparing shipping quotations, preparing documentation, and supporting the smooth execution of logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate import and export shipments, including sea and land freight.
  • Source, negotiate, and compare freight quotations from shipping lines and forwarders.
  • Arrange bookings and ensure shipping instructions are accurate and timely.
  • Prepare, review, and manage shipping documents (e.g., B/L, invoices, packing lists, COO).
  • Track and monitor shipments, proactively updating relevant stakeholders.
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and logistics partners to resolve delivery or documentation issues.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate shipment and cost records for reporting purposes.
  • Work closely with Finance and partners to verify freight invoices and control logistics costs.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping coordination (entry-level with training also possible).
  • Strong understanding of international trade terms (Incoterms).
  • Good communication and negotiation skills with freight providers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software (ERP knowledge is an advantage).
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4, RM5,000.00 per month
