The Opportunity

Our client, a leading Semiconductor company with manufacturing facilities in Malaysia, is seeking a
Quality Manager
. This role is pivotal in ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across all manufacturing operations. You will lead the quality function, maintain high standards across production facilities, and enhance the company's reputation through manufacturing and quality excellence.

The Talent

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in OEM electronics or semiconductor packaging manufacturing quality systems.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO, IPC, and industry-specific quality standards.
  • Expertise in quality assurance tools and methodologies, including audits, process improvements, defect analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience managing multicultural teams with strong leadership skills.
  • Track record in implementing sustainability initiatives and ESG compliance within manufacturing operations.

The Role

Quality Leadership

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality management strategies to ensure products meet or exceed customer and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee quality control processes across all production lines, including new product introductions and supplier components.
  • Lead internal, supplier, and customer audits, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Operational Support

  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to integrate quality standards into all operational activities.
  • Monitor key quality metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to management.
  • Ensure adherence to process standards and regulatory requirements across multiple sites.

People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing quality team, building capability across all manufacturing sites.
  • Promote a culture of quality awareness, continuous learning, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, support professional development, and facilitate cross-functional knowledge sharing.

Continuous Improvement

  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement methodologies to reduce defects and enhance product reliability.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and cost efficiency in quality operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging quality technologies to drive innovation.
