Your new role

The Server & Cloud Specialist for the Retail client is tasked with designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade cloud and infrastructure solutions.

This role involves collaborating with internal teams, superusers, and external vendors to ensure the scalability, stability, security, and cost-effectiveness of IT systems and processes.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Cloud & Infrastructure Strategy:

Architect and implement cloud-based solutions aligned with business goals, ensuring consistency and cost-efficiency.

Collaborate across teams to drive a standardised, modernised cloud infrastructure roadmap with a unified operating model
- Solution Delivery & Support:

Develop and support IT infrastructure solutions with high availability, scalability, and performance as well as

Act as a Level 3/4 subject-matter expert for server and cloud-related issues
- Infrastructure Protection (hybrid):

Maintain IT security architecture standards, monitor risks, and implement security measures to ensure adherence to security control requirements, manage change processes, and enforce policies to mitigate cyber threats.

Define and enforce server/cloud standards and processes aligned with best practices.
- Operational Excellence:

Ensure timely renewal and compliance of hardware maintenance contracts and licences.

Implement and regularly test disaster recovery plans for business continuity.

Recommend tech enhancements to streamline operations and reduce costs.

Manage physical and virtual servers for optimal performance
