As a Facilities Engineer (Individual Contributor - Maintenance Focus) at Rapiscan Systems Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's facilities in Johor Bahru, Johor. This full-time position will involve overseeing the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the company's physical infrastructure, equipment, and systems.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing regular inspections and preventive maintenance on a variety of building systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues with equipment and facilities to minimize downtime and disruptions
  • Coordinating with external service providers and contractors for major repairs or renovations
  • Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities and asset management
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Providing technical support and advice to other departments as needed
  • Participating in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance plans and strategies

What we're looking for

  • Diploma in Engineering, with a focus on Facilities Management, Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar facilities maintenance or engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with building systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and equipment maintenance
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results
  • Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and best practices
