About the Role:

We're looking for hands-on data developers who enjoy owning their work end-to-end. Each person will take full responsibility for a dedicated pod of ETL jobs—rewriting SAS logic into SQL, testing it thoroughly, fixing issues, and keeping the documentation tight. If you're someone who cares about data accuracy, performance, and accountability, you'll fit right in.

What You'll Own:

Development

  • Take charge of a pod of SAS ETL jobs.
  • Review existing SAS logic and rebuild it into efficient, native SQL.
  • Implement new regulatory or enhancement changes based on BA/Architect inputs.
  • Work closely with the Architect to ensure smooth integration across the overall data flow.

Testing (You build it, you test it)

  • Run detailed unit tests for every job you develop.
  • Handle SIT for your pod end-to-end and ensure performance expectations are met.
  • Take ownership of defects found in SIT/UAT and resolve them quickly.

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Participate in peer code reviews to maintain strong team quality.
  • Keep documentation updated for all jobs under your pod.
  • Share progress, risks, and blockers proactively with the Architect and Team Lead.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 3–5 years in data warehousing, BI, or ETL development.
  • Strong SQL skills—comfortable with complex joins, aggregations, and debugging.
  • Solid SAS Base or SAS DI Studio experience (able to interpret existing SAS ETL logic).
  • Good understanding of ETL fundamentals like SCDs, staging, and data transformations.
  • A strong testing mindset and a habit of validating your own work.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with financial risk data or Basel III.
