The client is a public listed company working with banks and financial institutions.

The
Head of Rewards and Performance
is responsible for developing and executing the PLC's total rewards and performance management strategies to attract, retain, and motivate high-performing talent. This role ensures the alignment of compensation, benefits, and performance frameworks with the PLC's strategic objectives and people agenda. The incumbent will partner closely with senior leadership to build a strong performance culture and ensure that rewards are market-competitive, equitable, and performance-driven..

Key Responsibilities
1. Rewards Strategy & Design

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive
    Total Rewards strategy
    that supports the Bank's business and talent priorities.
  • Conduct
    market benchmarking and salary surveys
    to ensure the Bank's compensation practices remain competitive and equitable.
  • Design and manage
    incentive and variable pay programs
    that drive accountability, productivity, and sustainable performance.
  • Partner with Finance and Business Heads to ensure the effectiveness and affordability of compensation structures across all job levels.
  • Oversee benefits programs to ensure they are attractive, compliant, and aligned with employee well-being and retention goals.

2. Performance Management

  • Lead the full
    performance management lifecycle
    , including goal setting, mid-year reviews, calibration, and annual performance evaluation.
  • Drive a
    high-performance culture
    by ensuring strong linkage between individual and organizational goals.
  • Introduce
    continuous feedback mechanisms
    and enhance performance dialogue quality across leadership levels.
  • Work with HR Business Partners and Learning teams to align performance outcomes with talent development, succession, and career pathways.

3. Governance, Policy & Process Excellence

  • Develop and maintain
    reward and performance policies
    that are transparent, fair, and consistent across the organization.
  • Manage the annual
    compensation review process
    and performance calibration exercises to ensure fairness and alignment with business results.
  • Prepare regular reports and analytics on pay competitiveness, performance trends, and workforce productivity for management decision-making.
  • Ensure all processes are
    compliant with internal controls
    ,
    audit requirements
    , and best practices in corporate governance.

4. Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and develop a team of specialists in rewards, benefits, and performance management.
  • Partner with senior leadership, HR Business Partners, and Finance to ensure alignment of pay and performance strategies with business priorities.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the Management Committee and HR Leadership Team on compensation trends and performance insights.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Human Resources, Finance, Economics, or Science
    .
  • Minimum
    12–15 years of experience
    in Human Resources, with at least
    5 years in a senior role
    leading compensation and performance management within a
    bank or financial institution
    .
  • Have experience working with C Suites
  • Strong knowledge of
    reward structures, job evaluation frameworks
    , and
    performance management systems
    .
  • Experience designing
    executive compensation, sales incentives, and organization-wide reward programs
    .
  • Analytical, commercially minded, and comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
